Since 2017 icealex has designed and delivered 12 incubation and acceleration programmes, each built for a specific sector, audience and impact goal. These are our main programmes today, and the legacy they were built on.
The flagship incubator, Egypt's first female-focused incubator, the city hackathon, the sustainability award and the craft programme: each serves a different stage of the founder journey.
Applications are handled on the icealex platform (icealex.untap.us). You will be taken there when you click "Apply now".
We call founders and innovators in through open calls, hackathons and challenge programmes, and select the teams closest to impact.
Structured incubation: training, mentorship, market access and investor readiness, from a weekend sprint to six months.
Demo days, a partner and investor network, and international stages, so ideas turn into partnerships and funding.
Programmes completed, or delivered with international partners. Their track record and alumni are part of the icealex ecosystem today.
Create an account on the icealex platform (icealex.untap.us), pick the open programme and fill in the application form. Every "Apply now" button on this site takes you straight there.
A green "Open now" badge on a card means applications are being accepted, and the deadline is shown at the bottom of the card. Programmes marked "New cycle, opening soon" will open later.
Yes. icealex programmes are funded by our partners and free for accepted participants. There are no application or participation fees.
Not necessarily. Some programmes run in person in Alexandria or in specific cities, others are hybrid or continental. Check the "Location" field on each programme page.
