In Egypt and across the MENA region, women-led businesses face a persistent financing gap, lower access to networks and mentors, and limited visibility within the wider innovation ecosystem. Ladies Startups League responds directly to these realities — not through generic entrepreneurship content, but through a programme designed around how women actually build ventures.
What began as the Women in Progress (WiP!) track evolved under the YIEP (Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program) framework into a scaled flagship incubation offer. Since 2018, the programme has expanded from Alexandria to a national footprint covering 14 governorates, supported by the Creativa satellite hub network.
Founders apply based on stage, fit, and readiness. Solo female founders and women-led or co-led teams can join depending on the cycle.
Selected participants receive orientation, expectations, and a clear roadmap before moving into the first learning and validation activities.
Founders work on ideation, problem-solution fit, business model canvas, customer insights, and business-plan development fundamentals.
Targeted mentoring helps teams tackle real bottlenecks, refine assumptions, and strengthen the logic of their venture and go-to-market path.
Participants complete guided submissions, use self-paced learning modules, and prepare business plans and pitch decks for final review or showcase moments.
Graduates remain part of the wider LSL and ICEALEX ecosystem through community activity, referrals, visibility, and future opportunities.
